New Patient Administration Fee Policy
Welcome to Specialists in Geriatric and Palliative Care Medicine! We are honored that you have chosen us to provide care for you or your loved one. Our practice is committed to offering personalized, compassionate care to every patient, and to do so, we dedicate extended time for each new patient appointment. Given the complex nature of the conditions we treat, we require a non-refundable $100 administration fee to secure and confirm your first visit. This ensures we have the necessary time to prepare and deliver the high-quality care you deserve.
Specialty Care Focus and Extended Visits
Our patients often have complex medical needs, requiring longer appointments to fully address their health concerns. We schedule extended visits to allow time to review medical history, address any concerns from both patients and their loved ones, and deliver focused, unhurried care. This dedication is essential in Geriatrics and Palliative Care, where comprehensive, in-depth attention is critical.
Appointment Rescheduling Policy
Once the $100 administration fee is paid, it is non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, we kindly request at least 24 business hours' notice. This means that for a Monday 9:00 AM appointment, you would need to notify us by 9:00 AM on the preceding Friday to avoid an additional charge. Rescheduling within the proper timeframe incurs no extra fee. However, if less than 24 business hours' notice is provided or there is a no-show, an additional $100 fee will apply to rebook your appointment.
Non-Refundable Fee
You will receive an invoice for this fee, and once payment is received, it is non-refundable, regardless of whether you attend the appointment or need to cancel. If you cancel with less than 24 business hours' notice or decide not to follow through with the appointment, the fee will not be refunded. Please note that a 3.5% credit card processing fee will apply to payments made by credit card. To avoid this fee, payments can be made via cashier’s check, cash, or Zelle transfers.
Understanding Our Commitment
As a small, privately-owned practice, we are committed to providing personalized and compassionate care. Each new patient visit involves significant preparation to ensure we meet your needs fully. When an appointment is missed, it impacts our ability to care for others.
We understand that emergencies or unexpected illnesses may occur, especially given the population we serve in Geriatrics and Palliative Care. However, to continue providing the high level of care we are known for, we must enforce this policy to effectively manage our schedule.
Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to offering you and your loved ones the dedicated care you deserve.
